Applicants are hand picked and put through a rigorous year long course that creates award winning Instructors certified in the end by Grandmaster Toddy, himself. It will prepare you for a career as one of Warrior’s Realm’s elite Instructors, qualified to work at our Academy. This extensive course covers all aspects of teaching Muay Thai as well as classroom management.

Assistant Instructor’s Job description:
The goal of a Martial Arts Instructor is to assist the students in the process of developing confidence through Martial Arts. Many attributes are needed to become a good Instructor. Some of the important ones that will be focused/built upon are:

  • KNOWLEDGE - knowing Master Toddy’s Muay Thai curriculum levels one through five
  • ENTHUSIASM – being enthusiastic will enrich the experience for you and the student
  • PATIENCE - practicing patience is truly a virtue when teaching

  • COMPASSION - helping them through frustrating times

Application Process:
For those who feel inspired to become an Assistant Instructor, please ask at the office for a complete application form. All application forms must include a resume, cover letter and a criminal record check.

Course hours:
Junior Assistant Instructors course:
This one year course consists of:

  • 50 hours of class time; being taught the ins and outs of becoming an exceptional instructor.
  • 100 hours of hands on practicum training; observing and assisting in the teaching of kids, youth and beginner adult group classes (roughly two classes a week).
  • All personal training and testing must be kept up.

Upon completion, you will be able to assist in the instruction of kids, youth and beginner adult group classes. You may also be eligible to be up-graded to full Assistant Instructor by attending the Grandmaster Toddy certification course at a later date

Assistant Instructors course including Grandmaster Toddy Certification:
This one year course consists of:

  • 50 hours of class time; being taught the ins and outs of becoming an exceptional instructor.
  • 100 hours of practicum training; observing and assisting in the teaching of kids, youth and beginner adult group classes (roughly two classes a week).
  • 20 hours of private lesson instruction/practicum (including the art of pad work).
  • All personal training and testing must be kept up.

Upon completion, you will be able to assist in the instruction of kids, youth and beginner adult group classes. You will be able to teach private lessons to kids, beginner youth and beginner adults with this being a paid situation. This course could also lead to a regular paid Instructor’s position at Warrior’s Realm Muay Thai and Mixed Martial Arts Academy. This course includes Grandmaster Toddy’s certification and accommodation cost.
The Grandmaster Toddy Assistant Instructor certification will be at the end of the course during a four day trip to Master Toddy’s Muay Thai Academy in Las Vegas.
